Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove salt and debris.
Soak in plenty of fresh water in the refrigerator until softened, following the preparation instructions on the pack.
Drain, rinse again and blend with fresh drinking water until smooth.
Transfer to a clean, covered container and refrigerate promptly. Add the prepared gel to smoothies, soups or sauces according to the product’s serving directions.
